Getting Started

The 22nd Batch of IPER MBA will commence in July-August 2018. If you are interested in the MBA Programme, you should appear for
AICTE CMAT - The Common Management Entrance Test conducted by AICTE. Subsequently, counseling is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.

Students who are in the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) or who have appeared in the final year examination from a recognised institution/university are eligible to appear in this test. CMAT is a National Level Entrance exam, conducted by AICTE, for facilitating Institutions to determine the eligibility of students for admissions in Management Programs approved by AICTE.

Preliminary Requirement
CMAT score card is the preliminary requirement for applying in MBA. The last CMAT entrance exam was held in January 2017.
However, College Level Counselling is usually held on the directives of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of MP, after CMAT-based Admission Counselling is over, for the vacant seats, if any.

How to Appear in CMAT
CMAT is held once in a year (generally in January). AICTE announces the exam dates in prominent National newspapers and various websites. The examination is computer based.

Missed CMAT Exam , Now what?
Those who have missed giving the exam can also be allowed to appear for counseling based on qualifying exam percentage as per the DTE guidelines. To keep yourself in contention please register with us to receive updates on the same.

How to prepare for the CMAT Exam

  1. Duration of Exam: The examination duration is 180 minutes.
  2. Pattern: There are four sections, with 25 questions in each section that includes (a) Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation b) Logical Reasoning c) Language Comprehension and d) General Awareness.
  3. Evaluation: For each correct answer there are 4 marks, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.
  4. Fees: General/OBC: Rs.1200 + Bank charges as applicable. SC/ST/PD: Rs.600 + Bank charges as applicable. See AICTE-CMAT Website for latest update. In Foreign Countries: $125 + Bank charges as applicable

Admission Process

On the basis of CMAT, the Directorate of Technical Education of Madhya Pradesh (DTE), Govt. of MP conducts Admission Counseling.
Subsequently counseling for those who have missed CMAT is held as per DTE, Govt. of M.P guidelines strictly based on merit as per graduation Percentage(qualifying exam).
