On 5th January 2018, HDFC Bank conducted Campus Placement Drive at IPER (Institute of Professional Education and Research) for the position of Personal Banker- Sales. HDFC Bank Ltd is India’s leading private bank that offers complete banking and financial services. It has marked a strong presence by an enviable network globally. It is the largest bank in India in terms of the market capitalization.
The campus placement process was conducted for the profile of Personal Banker- Sales that includes sales and customer support attributes. The key responsibility includes handling of Sales, managing classic portfolio, achievement of income plans and other benchmarks within the portfolio, handling customer query and operations.
The recruiters were looking for young MBA aspirants with sales and influencing skills, banking product knowledge, planning and organizing abilities, communication and knowledge of current trends in the financial industry. To shortlist students, psychometric aptitude online test was conducted which was carried out before a group discussion and personal interview session.
This screening model is almost a standard pattern of selection for many recruiters. The online test was based on the multiple- choice questions of Reasoning, English, Current Affairs, Computers and Arithmetic Abilities. The key to clear such tests is by managing the time limit with quick solving abilities. Thus, practice is only an essential method to pass online aptitude tests. While the group discussion and personal interview skills can be developed and enhanced through regular habit of reading current news and participating in quality discussions with peers. It requires more of confidence and a focused approach to crack an interview.
