A comprehensive array of pedagogical tools such as Lectures, Case Studies, Role Plays, Project Presentations, and Simulations, are used to facilitate effective learning.
IPER strictly adheres 'Academic Calendar' drafted at the beginning of the 'Academic Session' that has datelines for all pedagogical tools including exams scheduled.
IPER-PGDM follows the calendar of July to June as its academic year (with slight modifications, if necessary) on a year to year basis. Detailed schedules for each trimester will be provided at the beginning of the term that will be religiously followed throughout the year.
The duration of the Programme is two years with three Trimesters each year. The Courses are divided into two segments: - Class Room Courses and Viva Voce
- Class Room Courses : Designed to help students in understanding the concepts and techniques of management
- Viva-Voce : The Viva-Voce at the end of trimesters is designed to evaluate the students' understanding and appreciation of the inter-relationship of various courses.
- Project, Research & Seminar, Professional Training and Field Assignments
- Research Project : A Research Project on any area of Management specialisation may be undertaken by a student on a topic approved by the Institute under the guidance of a faculty member of IPER. Expenses incurred, if any, on the assignment shall be borne entirely by the student and the Institute shall have no financial responsibility in this respect.

Summer Internship : Summer Placement for prescribed period with an enterprise or organization is an integral part of the Programme. The decision of the Institute with regard to the choice of the company/ organization for placement shall be final. During the period of their Summer Placement, students are required to adhere to the norms of discipline prescribed by the company/organization concerned. On completion of year one, students gain hands-on experience in the application of core concepts and functional skills. This practice of 'Learning by Doing' helps the student to relate the rigors of theory in the world of business. Participants work on projects as per the specification of the company. At the end of 6- 8 weeks of such a closely guided project under the supervision of the company executive, the participant submits a report to the company. The concerned company executive normally provides feedback to the programme dean on the student performance. Summer placement/internship is an essential requirement for the award of IPER's PG Diploma in Management. Curriculum is ‘Industry Relevant’ and therefore in sync with the feedback received from trade and industry as well as from the students of the previous programmes or if considered essential by the faculty then changes as found necessary may be carried out in the different courses of the programme.
